Hello! My name is Courtney and I am the Literacy Coach and 4th/5th grade Reading Specialist at Irving Elementary in Berwyn South School District 100. I started teaching in 2008 at a catholic school in South Chicago. It was here that I decided to go back to school for my Reading Specialist degree and I haven't looked back since. I LOVE teaching students how to read and seeing their confidence/self-esteem grow as it happens.

I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago (Go Cubs) where I currently live with my husband and daughter. Fall is the best season, summers are sacred, mountains and floating in a lake make me very happy, friends keep me sane and I love being a Mom.
